Youssef Rakha

Youssef Rakha is an Egyptian novelist, poet and critic working in both Arabic and English. His first novel written in English is The Dissenters (Graywolf Press 2025), and his short story collection, Emissaries, is out from Barakunan. A previous novel, The Crocodiles, translated by Robin Moger, was published by Seven Stories Press. Rakha lives with his family in Cairo.
